At FurryFinds, your privacy matters to us — almost as much as your pet’s happiness. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our site and how we use it.
Information We Collect
Information you provide
If you contact us by email (for example at info@furryfinds.ca), we receive your email address and any information you include in your message. We use this only to respond to you.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, we may automatically collect basic, non-identifying information about your visit — such as your browser type, device type, pages viewed, and the time and date of your visit. This helps us understand which content is useful and improve the site.
Cookies
We may use cookies (small files stored on your device) to remember your preferences and understand how visitors use the site. Third-party services we use — such as affiliate partners like Amazon — may also set their own cookies when you click their links, subject to their own privacy policies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some site features may not work as intended.
Affiliate Links
Some links on FurryFinds are affiliate links. When you click one and make a purchase, the retailer may share limited information with us (such as the fact that a qualifying purchase occurred) so we can earn a commission. We do not receive your name, address, or payment details. See our Affiliate Disclosure for details.
How We Use Information
- To respond to your messages and questions.
- To operate, maintain, and improve the site.
- To understand which content our readers find most helpful.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone. Ever.
Third-Party Links
Our site contains links to third-party websites (such as retailers and reference sources like the ASPCA and AKC). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites — we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
Children’s Privacy
FurryFinds is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “last updated” date above. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
